A large quadrangular hall with a rib vault, it is the sacristy of the old Church of san Salvatore. The sacristy of San Salvatore dates back to the 14th century and currently it features the remains of particularly interesting frescoes in the upper part of the walls and on the vault. The most interesting one represents the Crucifixion: The main piece of the composition is Christ on the Cross, flanked by personifications of the Church and the Synagogue. The Church, the bride of Christ, is on his right holding a triumphant banner with the red cross standing out from a white background. The Synagogue, on the other hand, is on Christ’s left side, showing pain as it carries a broken flagpole, proof of its defeat. The adjacent wall shows scenes of the Circumcision and the Baptism of Jesus, heavily deteriorated. Only a large fish and the hind legs of an animal, probably a ram, is all that is left on the vault of the zodiac signs that tradition handed down. The four faces with puffy cheeks and without a body, instead, represent the winds.
